Responsibilities for the Infection Control CIC System RN Director:
- Manage Infection Control team while maintaining safety and compliance throughout the hospital
- Analyze data to make informed recommendations to lower infection rates
- Implement Infection training and policies based on observations of current procedures
- Emphasize all patient safety and preventative measures through leading staff sessions and programs
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory, federal, state, and third-party accreditation requirements
- Evaluate and improve methodology, productivity, and workflow to achieve the highest value of care
- Collaborate efficiently with a robust multidisciplinary team, including infection control RN managers, on the floor staff, and departmental heads
- MSN, or master’s degree in a related field required
- Valid NY State RN License
- 5+ years of hospital experience in infection control or related field
- Infection Control certification (CIC) required
- 2+ years of clinical infection control leadership experience
